I am a beginner rider, is this trip for me?
Beginner UTV drivers with no prior experience are well suited for this ride
I’m an experienced rider, will I be bored?
Absolutely not! We know what it’s like to be on a trip and feel like you can’t go as fast as you want so we’ve designed the trip to allow experienced riders to rip at the front of the pack and not have to worry about the rest of the group keeping up. And our lead guides are trained to ride just a bit faster than you 😉
What are the requirements?
Valid driver’s license in your state/country
Where do we sleep?
We provide one tent for individuals and larger tents for couples/families.
Where do we poop?
We have a very nice shovel on our chase trucks where you can dig a hole for your very own personal natural commode. Additionally, there are a few gas stations along the way as we resupply.
Can I bring a C-PAP machine?
Yes, if you have a portable C-PAP machine we can charge it nightly with the inverter on the chase truck.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes, our talented chefs are happy to accommodate any dietary needs. Upon booking, you can note your specific dietary needs and we will contact you if we have any further questions.
Where do I pack my stuff and keep my luggage?
Our UTVs have storage space for all your personal items in the machine.
On all trips we can store additional luggage that you are not bringing on the ride securely at our staging location.
What if my family needs to get in touch with me?
They can email us at info@wildernesscollective.com and your lead guide will be notified of the emergency. We have a satellite phone and satellite text communicator with us at all times.
What if I get lost?
Every guest is provided with a personal SPOT GPS tracking device which we can use to locate them or trigger a search and rescue with the local SAR services.
What is your firearm policy?
Though you may be accustomed to camping with a personal firearm we have a no firearms policy on all our trips in accordance with our insurance policy guidelines. Please leave it at home.
What about recreational drugs?
Our company guidelines, our insurance policies, and our partners are committed to a drug-free environment on our trips whether legal or not.
i.e. Cannabis is now legal in California in plant and edible form but is still not allowed on our trips, per our insurance policy guidelines.
Weed is what gets stuck in your spokes. Dirt is the only drug you’ll need.
What if I get hurt?
- Should any minor injuries occur on the trip, we will have a comprehensive medical kit along
- Should any serious injury occur, we will take the support vehicle to the nearest town
- Should any life-threatening injury occur we will activate a helicopter medical evacuation through the Satellite Messaging Device
