Learn to Ride
Moto Clinics
We love teaching people how to ride, and our clinics are built to level up your skills—whether it’s your first time on a bike or you’ve been riding for years.
Our expert “Doctors of Dirt” offer personalized coaching so you can progress at your own pace. With a focus on safety, control, and proper technique, you’ll build the confidence to handle any terrain or your next Wilderness trip (and get a 5% discount code on booking a Wilderness adventure).
Beyond the training, enjoy good food, great company, and nights around the campfire swapping stories on the two-day clinic. You’ll head home a better rider—with memories and skills that stick.

I am a beginner motorcycle rider, is this trip for me?
Our “Level I” trips are appropriate for riders with limited street-only experience who want to get into the dirt. They are not appropriate for riders with zero riding experience. We have a sweep guide that will make sure you have a great experience and can ride your own ride. You’ll finish the trip with huge growth in your skills and riding ability.
I’m an experienced rider, will I be bored?
Absolutely not! We know what it’s like to be on a trip and feel like you can’t go as fast as you want so we’ve designed the trip to allow experienced riders to rip at the front of the pack and not have to worry about the rest of the group keeping up. And our lead guides are trained to ride just a bit faster than you 😉
What are the requirements?
- Age 16+ (no max age limit)
- Valid motorcycle license in your state/country (NOT a permit only)
- Good physical fitness
Do I need to show up in riding clothes?
Nope! Show up in your street clothes and you’ll have plenty of time to change into your riding gear at staging.
Where do we sleep?
We provide one tent per person. Two-person and larger tents are available upon request.
Where do we poop?
We have a very nice shovel on our chase trucks where you can dig a hole for your very own personal natural commode. Additionally, there are a few gas stations along the way as we resupply.
Can I bring a C-PAP machine?
Yes, if you have a portable C-PAP machine we can charge it nightly with the inverter on the chase truck.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes, our talented chefs are happy to accommodate any dietary needs. Upon booking, you can note your specific dietary needs and we will contact you if we have any further questions.
Where do I pack my stuff and keep my luggage?
The chase truck will carry your sleeping bag and ground pad. Your clothing will be packed into a 30L dry bag and loaded into the chase truck.
Additional luggage that you are not bringing on the ride can be stored securely in the Moto Hauler and will be waiting for you at the trip end point.
What if my family needs to get in touch with me?
They can email us at info@wildernesscollective.com and your lead guide will be notified of the emergency. We have a satellite phone and satellite text communicator with us at all times.
What if I get lost?
Every guest is provided with a personal SPOT GPS tracking device which we can use to locate them or trigger a search and rescue with the local SAR services.
What is your firearm policy?
Though you may be accustomed to camping with a personal firearm we have a no firearms policy on all our trips in accordance with our insurance policy guidelines. Please leave it at home.
What about recreational drugs?
Our company guidelines, our insurance policies, and our partners are committed to a drug-free environment on our trips whether legal or not.
i.e. Cannabis is now legal in California in plant and edible form but is still not allowed on our trips, per our insurance policy guidelines.
Weed is what gets stuck in your spokes. Dirt is the only drug you’ll need.
What if I get hurt?
- Should any minor injuries occur on the trip, we will have a comprehensive medical kit along
- Should any serious injury occur, we will take the support vehicle to the nearest town
- Should any life-threatening injury occur we will activate a helicopter medical evacuation through the Satellite Messaging Device
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation fees will be applied per person according to the following schedule, based on the date we receive your written notification:
- Cancellations initiated by the participant received in writing to Wilderness Collective with more than 60 days notice before tour start date will receive their deposit as a credit to be used towards future tours with Wilderness Collective. The credit expires 1 year after issued.
- Cancellations initiated by the participant received in writing to Wilderness Collective with 60 or less days notice before the tour start date will forfeit their deposit as a cancellation fee. Any balance payments can be held on file as a credit to be used towards future tours and services with Wilderness Collective. The credit expires 1 year after issued.
- Cancellations initiated by the participant received in writing to Wilderness Collective with 30 or less days notice before the tour start date will forfeit their deposit and any balance payments as a cancellation fee.
- Cancellations initiated by Wilderness Collective due to conditions beyond their control including but not limited to fires, weather, terrorism, civil strife, floods, earthquakes, or natural catastrophes, etc. will be credited towards a future trip in full amount of balances paid.
No refunds will be provided for any reason for an unused portion of a trip once the trip begins, including if you leave a trip for any reason or have to be removed from a trip. The trip price is a package cost and refunds and credits are not available for services not used.
There are no exceptions to this cancellation and refund policy, including for reasons related to weather, terrorism, civil strife, personal, family or medical emergencies or any other circumstances beyond our control. For this and other reasons, we encourage you to purchase trip cancellation and interruption insurance and travel protection (i.e., travel medical insurance and emergency evacuation services).
Wilderness Collective is not responsible for expenses incurred by Participants in preparing for a trip (eg. nonrefundable advance purchase air tickets, equipment, etc.) or for any additional arrangements pre- or post-departure date. The term applies whether the tour is altered, modified, or canceled by us or by you for any reason.
Our trip minimum is 8 machines, if the trip does not hit the minimum you will be notified and new trip departure dates will be available to you. Because the tour may be canceled when a minimum number of Participants have not signed up, we recommend that you either purchase refundable air tickets or wait until we have confirmed with you approximately 3 months prior to the tour that we have a sufficient number of Participants
