This is a full-time, year-round salaried position, though the workload follows a distinct seasonal rhythm.
- In-season (typically spring–fall):
- Monday–Wednesday: 10–12 hour workdays focused on receiving, servicing, and preparing the fleet.
- Thursday: Longer term mechanical projects and shop clean up.
- Friday–Sunday: On call for remote mechanical support while trips are in the field.
- The pace is fast and the expectation is a “whatever it takes” mentality to turn bikes around between trips and ensure readiness for Thursday morning departures.
- Off-season (typically winter):
- Reduced pace focused on deep maintenance, rebuilds, shop organization, and fleet improvement projects.
- Support of our Baja Moto tours
This structure offers a strong work-life balance for the right candidate but can be demanding for those not comfortable with a deadline-driven, trip-based cycle.
• Automotive vehicles, vans, and trailers are not included in this role’s maintenance scope; these will be serviced by dedicated mobile mechanics.
• Advanced engine, transmission, or valve work will be outsourced to qualified service partners.
