Jackson Hole Snowmobile Packing List
Bring a medium-size duffel bag or your standard travel luggage as it will be stored in our rooms at the lodge. While riding, there is very limited storage on the machines, just enough room for a small water bottle or extra pair of goggles. Consider bringing a small backpack if you’d like to pack an extra layer while riding.
I have never ridden a snowmobile, is this trip for me?
Absolutely. This trip is designed to not only cater to the avid snow mobile riders, but also to introduce people to the sport. The terrain we ride is approachable for beginners, but also includes optional intermediate and advanced terrain for the more experienced riders.
Where do I fly into?
Pick up on day 1 is around 12pm local time at the newly renovated Jackson Hole, Wyoming Airport. From there, our luxurious mountain lodge is about a 1.5 hour drive.
What are the requirements?
Good physical fitness.
Where do we sleep?
We have partnered with an incredible backcountry mountain lodge built by the same people who built the famous Yellowstone lodge. The amenities at the lodge are endless. Incredible food, fully stocked bar, games, massage parlor, and yes.. a 20 person jacuzzi with insane mountain views.
Can I bring a C-PAP machine?
Yes, the lodge will have power available.
What if my family needs to get in touch with me?
They can email us at info@wildernesscollective.com and your lead guide will be notified of the emergency. We have a satellite phone and satellite text communicator with us at all times.
What is your firearm policy?
Though you may be accustomed to traveling with a personal firearm we have a no firearms policy on all our trips in accordance with our insurance policy guidelines. Please leave it at home.
What about recreational drugs?
Our company guidelines, our insurance policies, and our partners are committed to a drug-free environment on our trips whether legal or not.
i.e. Cannabis is now legal in California in plant and edible form but is still not allowed on our trips, per our insurance policy guidelines.
Weed is what gets stuck in your spokes. Dirt is the only drug you’ll need.
What if I get hurt?
- Should any minor injuries occur on the trip, we will have a comprehensive medical kit along
- Should any serious injury occur, we will take the support vehicle to the nearest town
- Should any life-threatening injury occur we will activate a helicopter medical evacuation through the Satellite Messaging Device
DON’T WORRY, We will have a sat phone with us at all times for inbound and outbound emergency communication with family. All Wilderness trips have been device-free since we started. This means we’ll let your phone take the weekend off in this secure environment.
This is intentional to ensure that you get to experience a unique distraction-free experience and is always a highlight of the guests. Oh and don’t bring your camera either, we’ll be capturing all the photos so you can just enjoy the experience. #trustus
