WILDERNESS X TAYLOR STITCH
GOLD COAST SCRAMBLE
We teamed up with Taylor Stitch to host a west coast moto trip of a lifetime. Starting at Taylor Stitch’s SF HQ and finishing in LA at the Wilderness Collective compound, the crew will explore the remote California coast over the course of 4 days and 3 nights on a pavement forward but multi surface moto camping trip that ventures into some of the most rugged and wild coastal terrain in North America.
WC x TS: Gold Coast Scramble – 4 Day (April 13th – 16th, 2023)
Cost:
• Starting at $3,500 per person (does not include bike rental)
• Bike transportation from LA back to SF is available for $500
• SF to LA bike one-way rentals are available from Eagle Rider
• 30% deposit due upon booking. Balance due 60 days before departure
Bike Requirements:
• The ride is suitable for 600-1200cc “scrambler style” bikes (Triumph, Ducati Scrambler, BMW R nineT etc and ADV style bikes (BMW GS, Ténéré, Africa Twin etc)
• Bikes must have 80/20 tires at a minimum up to a 50/50 tire (onroad/offroad)
• Bikes must have enough storage for all your clothing (sleeping bags and ground pads can be stored on the support truck.)
Duration: 4 days, 3 nights
Dates: April 13-16, 2023
Terrain:
• 85% paved twisties, secondary highways and 15% graded dirt roads.
Difficulty Level: II
• Intermediate street-only riders can finish the ride though they will be challenged by the dirt portions
• Intermediate off-road riders will be well suited for both the on and off-road portion of the ride
• Valid Motorcycle license is required
- $1,500+ of exclusive Taylor Stitch clothing and motorcycle jacket
- All 5 star chef-prepared meals including alcoholic beverages
- All camp gear, tents, chairs, kitchen, etc. (excluding ground-pad, sleeping bag, and packable camp pillow)
- Personal GPS tracking device with SOS Medical Evacuation capabilities
- Professional guides, chef, videographer and photographer
- Chase/support truck
- Download link to professional photos and film shot on your trip

Day 1
- 8:00am meetup and riders meeting at the Taylor Stitch store in San Francisco
- Ride south through SF then winding through the Big Basin Redwoods making our way to the iconic surf town of Santa Cruz on the coast
- Continuing south on the world-famous Hwy 1 to Bixby Bridge and our first camp at the north end of Big Sur high above the Pacific Ocean.
Day 2
- Continuing down the mountain ridgeline then dropping back onto the rugged coastline of Hwy 1 to explore the hidden beaches, secret waterfalls and all that Big Sur has to offer
- We’ll ride south and past the iconic and eccentric Hearst Castle towards our final camp in San Simeon
Day 3
- We’ll follow Hwy 1 to the fishing and vacation town of Morro Bay then will start to head inland as the coast changes to chaparral to our second camp high above the San Rafael Wilderness with 360º views from the Pacific to Carrizo Plains National Monument
Day 4
- We start our final big ride making our way through the desert plaines of New Cayuma then winding back towards the coast through the idyllic town of Ojai
- We’ll reconnect to Hwy 1 and ride the coast making our way through Malibu and then take the Sunset Strip through Beverly Hills and the heart of Hollywood all the way to the Wilderness HQ in East LA.
- Plan to stay in Los Angeles this evening and fly out the following morning
