ALASKA ADV PACKING LIST


Pannier cases will be on the bikes for storing extra layers, water bottles, hats, etc. Your luggage will be loaded in the support truck.

Gear bags and any items you don’t wish to bring on the trail with you (IE: clean clothes for flights home), will be securely stored at staging and will be waiting for you at the end of the trip.

Documents: 

  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Photocopy of driver’s license stored in different location

Included Wilderness Gear:

  • Wilderness Beanie
  • Wilderness Shirt
  • Wilderness Double Insulated Mug

Riding Gear

  • Full face helmet with pinlock or fog resistant shield
  • Multiple pairs of riding gloves at least one waterproof pair (finger squeegee is a nice option)
  • Waterproof Riding jacket with armor
  • Waterproof Riding pants with armor
  • Over the top rain suit (if your jacket and pants aren’t waterproof)
  • Tall waterproof riding boots that are also comfortable for walking
  • Tall mid-weight socks for riding
  • Bandana
  • Neck buff or gaiter 
  • Sunglasses, case and cleaner
  • Ear plugs for snoring
  • Ziploc slide top bags ­ gallon & quart

Other Clothes:

  • Pant layers
  • Smartwool or cold-weather leggings
  • Quick-dry pants
  • Torso layers
  • Smartwool or cold weather base layer
  • Quick dry shirts
  • Fleece or thermal vest/jacket
  • Warm, comfortable clothes for after riding
  • Warm hat, stocking cap for after riding
  • Comfortable shoes for after riding
  • Enough clothes, socks and underwear for the length of your trip!

Other Items:

  • Waterproof duffel bag to carry your clothes and non­essentials on the truck
  • Medicine/prescriptions
  • Toiletries
  • Headlamp for nighttime walkabouts
  • Sunblock: skin and lips
  • Cash
  • Credit card, tucked away somewhere safe
