[O]n the first day of WC-000 we encountered a lot more rain and mist than we expected, but the Sierra Designs 60/40 Mountain Parka ended up being the perfect jacket for the ride. The parka itself is a lightweight, densely woven blend of 60% cotton and 40% polyester, hence the 60/40 name. It’s got plenty of pockets that all close securely so you don’t lose your keys, lighter, or flask while riding. Fully lined with a heavy duty #8 zipper you’ll be passing this jacket down to your kids.
The water-resistant qualities of the jacket were incredible, as well as the warmth and breathability the cotton offers.
We’ve tested this jacket in the misty mountains of the Sierra’s and used it while skiing in the Canadian Rockies and it holds up perfectly in both environments.
